BOCA 45 has two passions, football and music. He is 'Boca' after the Argentinean football team: Boca Juniors, and '45' after the revolutions per minute that his beloved slabs of wax make on the turntable.
Boca 45, aka Scott Hendy from Dynamo Productions drops one of his best productions to date. ”Pitch Sounds” is his debut full-length album (14 track CD/double vinyl) featuring special guests MCKAY (USA), MC PROFILE (USA), and UK’s RETNA & REDS, TAMMY PAYNE and MONKEY MOO.
Hendy has toured Australia, Europe and the USA extensively as part of Dynamo Productions, delivering dance floor shaking sets which take in hip-hop beats cut with classic rock & acappellas scratched over long-forgotten funk breaks. Boca 45 will be touring Australia January 2005, playing the summer festivals.
Boca 45 “Pitch Sounds” is out on Grand Central Records in the UK. The single “In The City” is a stoned funk groove which features awesome vocals from New York based soul singer/songwriter MCKAY. Stephanie McKay has recorded with the Brooklyn Funk Essentials, backup singer to Kelis and Talib Kweli.
