Fellow Northern UK beat diggers and DJs DC, Marc Kershaw and
Eddie Scratch (aka Random Heroes) have been
supplying the funk to clubs in Leeds for the last 12 years.
Previously released as a very limited 7", this track throws down a funkin'
bassline alongside fat mid paced drums and some hooky guitar and vocal samples
to create a tried and tested bumping b-boy funk number.
Steppin' up for remix duties is Freestyle/Invada Records’ very own Flow
Dynamics (aka Rhibosome's Dave McKinney) who picks
up the tempo and adds his trademark flutes and deft scratching for an all out
dancefloor monster.
Rolling things out for the 4/4 heads is Dave under his other alter ego (he's
a busy guy!) Soul Harmonics – retaining the swirling
flutes and bumping beats, this mix heads down a jazzier route taking in elements
of MAW, DJ Spinna and St Germain
along the way.
These remixes will also appear on the forthcoming Flow Dynamics
and Soul Harmonics albums due out later this year. Dave McKinney
has another tasty release on its way - the Superjam Remix 12"
on Funk Weapons from US
